I want to live a life with no regrets!  Don’t you?

The Holidays are a hard time for a lot of people. It brings to mind, those that have gone before us and are no longer with us to celebrate this time of the year. It reminds us that our children have created their own families now. It can be a lonely time for a lot of us.

I have been spending a lot of time in deep thought and prayer for family members, for my dear sweet friend Kaye that left too soon, and another year without my Mom and Dad. We have all been through trials and tribulations. And we have all made it through.

I think about the good times with my dear women friends. The laughter, the truth that we speak of and the heartaches that we have endured and now share with each other. Sometimes supporting one another… other times suffering in silence.

I recently read an article that reminded me again what is important to life and what are the top 5 regrets that people have shared.

The following are the top 5 regrets people have on their deathbed.

1. I wish I’d had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me. (the most common regret of all)
2. I wish I didn’t work so hard.
3. I wish I’d had the courage to express my feelings.
4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

Spend quality time with those that you love and cherish. Let them know how much they mean to you, as we never know when our time is to come. Lets put our cell phones down, turn off our computers and make eye contact with one another. Lets talk about things that matter, which has meaning for both of us. What do we each love? What are our dreams? What dreams have gone unfulfilled? What do we want for one another? What about them has brought meaning to your life? And let them know what they mean to you!

Lets live with no regrets.
